AI is changing what good leadership looks like, and the leaders who do well will be the ones who pair fluency with tools and sharp human judgment. This self-check looks at how you learn, how you delegate to systems, and how you protect the skills machines cannot copy. There are no wrong answers, only a clearer starting point.

What it measures

  • AI LiteracyYou understand what current AI tools can and cannot do well enough to use them wisely.
  • Experimentation & Learning AgilityYou try new tools quickly, learn from misses, and update how you work.
  • Delegation to SystemsYou hand repeatable work to tools and processes so your attention goes to higher-value work.
  • Judgment & EthicsYou check AI output, own the result, and consider who could be harmed.
  • Human SkillsYou keep investing in the skills AI cannot automate: trust, presence, hard conversations, and reading a room.
The research behind it

Items are original wordings adapted from constructs in published scales. AI literacy items draw on the awareness, usage, evaluation and ethics factors in Wang, B., Rau, P.-L. P., & Yuan, T. (2023). Measuring user competence in using artificial intelligence: Validity and reliability of artificial intelligence literacy scale. Behaviour & Information Technology, 42(9), 1324-1337 (published online 2022). Experimentation items draw on the optimism and innovativeness factors of the Technology Readiness Index 2.0 (Parasuraman, A., & Colby, C. L. (2015). An updated and streamlined Technology Readiness Index: TRI 2.0. Journal of Service Research, 18(1), 59-74), growth mindset (Dweck, C. S. (2006). Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. Random House) and learning agility (De Meuse, K. P., Dai, G., & Hallenbeck, G. S. (2010). Learning agility: A construct whose time has come. Consulting Psychology Journal, 62(2), 119-130). This is a reflective tool, not a validated instrument.
